Job Description
You will be contributing to/
leading our Wireless Modem design verification efforts
SV -OVM/ UVM, C/C++, Vera-RVM
for Testbench development for module level / Core level verification.
Functional coverage model & Code-coverage
Digital design and RTL
implementation [VHDL/Verilog]
Ability to understand
CDMA200Radio formats, frame/slot/chip structure; Physical channels like: Pilot,
RACH, SYNCH, Broadcast, Paging channels, Data channels, AICH, Control channels,
OVSF spreading codes, Scrambling codes
Working with Systems to get
system vectors, Systems testplan, invocation of Csim/Matlab exe for HW
verification
For digital designers RTL
implementation of these physical layer algorithms, Functional & Timing
closure, GLS, Logic Equivalence, LINT and CDC checks, DC Synthesis, STA; Hard
macro delivery to SoC /chip team
For HW verification engineers
Work with HW and Systems team for bit-exacting testing of these modules
Prior experience with RTL
implementation of filters [IIR/FIR/ Equalization/ Interpolation/Decimation
filters], Rake engine, Channel estimation, Viterbi/ turbo decoder will be a big
plus
Desired Profile
Minimum 2 years experience in
Wireless Modem Design Verificaiton with a leading chipset company
Decent knowledge with any ones
of the following Radio standards: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WLAN, 3GPP [UMTS/LTE]
, 3GPP2 standards [CDMA2000]
Strong fundamentals in one or
few of these domain areas - Wireless and Mobile communications, Information
theory, Coding theory, Signal processing
MIMO schemes: STC/Spatial
multiplexing, Precoding techniques, Beam forming, Antenna Diversity techniques
will be a big plus
Interference cancellation,
Cross-cell combining techniques will be a big plus
Strong knowledge with Digital
communication techniques viz., Demodulators, Time track/Freq track loops,
Deinterleavers, Equalizers, Viterbi/Turbo Decoders, Rake finger combining,
Multi-path reception, Channel models [AWGN, Rayleigh, Rician], Sigma-Delta
modulation, Base band filters implementation
DSP: FFT, IFFT, Fourier / Z
Tranforms implementation is highly desirable
Control systems - Open/Closed
loops, Stability criterion, Antenna theory will be an added advantage
B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in
ECE/EE/CSA/Signal Processing department from IIT/NIT/IISC/BITS
