Job Description
The QA Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the product testing by writing test cases, executing black box tests, reviewing documents, logging defects and verifying defect fixes. The QA Engineers in the DLP team are expected to become specialists at their owned components and also choose an advanced testing methodology of their choice such as performance testing or automation. This includes automating the specialized areas and has the tests portable on any platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducts and coordinates independent planning of tests for assigned areas and may contribute to testing strategy.

Facilitates the gathering of information required for test planning. This includes obtaining required documentation, scheduling planning and discussion meetings, collating appropriate information, and other forms of research.

Acts as a technical expert in at least one area of Performance automation on assigned projects or in functional automation.

Execute test cases as planned as defined for project. Enters clearly described defects when applicable.

Routinely isolates the root cause of a defect.

Research on emerging technologies and apply to testing.

A team player who can work efficiently with cross location teams.

Desired Profile
Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

BE in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

1.5-4 years experience in windows testing and in automation

Working knowledge or experience in QA processes and testing techniques.

Experience of Hardware setup and troubleshooting

Hands on experience in Windows OS and Networking knowledge a must

Knowledge of scripting language or any automation tool.

Good communication skills.

Good team player with a high level of commitment to the role

Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
