Job Description
Responsible for the ongoing development and support of Open Source Storage solutions. Participate in hardware/software projects and deployment plans. Analyze work group systems and recommend solutions. Execute production processes. Perform/manage changes to the storage and backup infrastructure. Drive day to day business needs by managing processes and/or workflow. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur and develop solutions to problems ensuring optimal platform performance.

Desired Profile
Qualifications
Expert knowledge of iA capabilites, platforms, and blade compute environments. Object and Block compute-based storage in shared DC environments. REST-based web services infrastructures. Highly-optimized network configurations, and Engineering to specific Recovery Point and Recovery Time SLA Objectives (RPO/RTO) considerations for Backup and Recovery.

Scripting experience including, but not limited to PowerShell, PERL, Python, RUBY, BASH, VBScript, Windows Batch, Django, JavaScript.

Integration and special implementations of unstructured big data and traditional structured data management solutions, both as a platform service and standalone supporting solutions. Examples: MySQL, MSSQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB, Hive and Hbase, Ceph.

High and Mid level API (Application Programming Interface) design and development. Examples: Open Stack, Amazon Storage, Amazon Compute, Amazon Web Services.

Linux distributions such as SLES, RedHat, Ubuntu. Expert knowledge of Command Line (CLI) and scripting of administration tasks using tools such as ruby, perl, python. Development of scripts and highly customized operating systems.

Windows in a virtual environment. XML, Batch and SMS Installer Script)Troubleshooting, scripting, and packaging skills and related tools (e.g., Powershell, VBScript)

Engineering for large-scale distributed deployments of KVM, VMWare, Xen and HyperV virtual infrastructure.

BS degree in Computer Science with 3 years of experience
-2+ years of Open Source experience

-3+years of hands on experience and knowledge of OpenGL ES & 2D/3D Graphics

-3+ Artificial languages designed to communicate instructions to a machine. Examples: .NET, C, C#, C++, JAVA, RUBY
