Job Description
Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.

System Software Engineer
Responsible for end to end use case development across the software stack (Firmware, Driver, Middleware, Frameworks) on Windows or Android.

Leverage internal and external new technologies (ex: WiDi, Miracast, PerC, Multi-touch, Voice/Speech recognition) to develop new usages and integrate into new form factor with performance optimizations

Desired Profile
Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 3 to 5 years experience or Master degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering

Experience in development and debug capabilities in one or more domain areas below
Graphics, Display, Camera, Video, Audio, Touch

Experience with product development

Knowledge and expertise in system HW domains - although experience may be in software development

Experience with optimization for performance

System Integration know-how and experience plumbing HW-SW pieces for new usages and new devices a plus.

Strong software engineering and systems engineering background.

Experience in Windows and/or Linux environment a must.
