In the role of Sr. BI
Systems Analyst, you will be pivotal in defining, managing, and overseeing the
workflow, lineage, and quality of our data across multiple platforms and for
various users and applications. This position demands strong technical skills
in handling and managing data, from raw big data on platforms like S3 and HDFS
to transformed data in relational databases, utilizing the necessary tools and
technologies.
About
The Role
As a Sr. BI Systems
Analyst, you will:
Lead initiatives to
monitor and ensure data quality across various platforms, from raw data in file
and object stores to relational databases and the dashboards and reports that
depend on them, guaranteeing accuracy for end users.
Spearhead the
development of workflow and process improvements to enhance data accuracy and
timeliness.
Assist in designing
and planning the integration of new data sources or details into existing
processes.
Oversee the usage and
management of reports, including the retirement or phasing out of reports as
they become less needed.
Provide support for
ad hoc requests from BI analysts as they arise.
You’re
a fit for the Business Intelligence Analyst role if you have:
At least 3 years of
experience in handling or leading data quality and processing tasks as outlined
in the role, evidenced by:
Experience working
with data in raw formats (e.g., JSON, HDFS, S3) and transforming it into
relational databases and data warehouses (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Expertise in using
tools to connect, manage, and move data across these platforms (e.g., Alteryx,
Glue, Informatica).
Strong proficiency in
SQL/PL SQL.
Experience creating
dashboards and reports on platforms like PowerBI and Tableau to monitor data
workflows and identify root causes of errors for faster resolution.
Excellent verbal and
written communication skills, along with a collaborative team-player attitude,
capable of clearly explaining hypotheses and findings related to complex data
and issues.
A self-starter
mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrated through the
creation and execution of plans to successfully complete tasks and resolve
problems.
