Qualifications
8 years' experience in a software architecture/development organization in the embedded software or mobile phone business

Degree: MS (major in computer science)

Operates with minimal supervision within overall framework

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of colleagues and customers, from interns to C-suite

Demonstrated ability to develop software concepts and translate them into designs, implementation plans, and detailed statements of work for execution by others

Demonstrated strong history of innovation and achievement in systems design, including systems software and several areas beyond software

Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop junior talent

Demonstrated ability to act as a catalyst with external actors and technologies to achieve goals

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute software strategy

Professional passion as demonstrated by history of excellence, product in the field, and customer/market success

Broad software and systems software development experience

Sufficient (Linux/Unix/RTOS/C/C++) experience to personally explore or demonstrate designs with code

Experience with robust software design

Experience with concurrent systems design and programming

Understanding of testing methodologies and issues

Understanding of performance oriented design

Job Description:
Candidate is required to play two key roles: In project context and as Connectivity sub-system architect.

Connectivity sub-system architect: Responsible for setting the technical direction in the area Connectivity sub-system. This includes the Drivers for the connectivity hardware blocks (UART, MIPI HSI, and USB etc.) as well as associated protocols. Tasks include, but are not limited to, requirements assessment, feasibility studies, internal architecture specification, design reviews and validation plan support. Ensures platform and its components have the best performance and power balance. Interacts with multiple technologists in the company as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

Project context: Fulfil the role of Architect Lead role in given project. In this role, the candidate is expected to support the product architect, support development of overarching system engineer plan by review, delivers the related specification, support evaluation of change requests in case of wider system or portfolio impact.
