Designation: Technical Support Engineer

Skill: UNIX, Oracle, MYSQL, Java

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
BE or equivalent degree

Experience of working in applications support / development and support / production support / deployment & configuration

Experience of MS SQL Server in a working environment, including sound knowledge of constructing complex SQL queries

Practical knowledge of the Windows desktop environment

Strong experience of Java, Oracle DB / My SQL, UNIX scripting.

Knowledge of application servers such as JBOSS

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Amazon cloud / AWS knowledge would be added point.

To maintain production environments relating to online services

This will include development, stage and production systems.

Experience of monitoring of service thresholds & Experience of monitoring tools and/or transaction monitoring

Experience in programming languages / scripting e.g. Unix shell or Perl is must

Ready to participate in the on-call support to the 24/7 team

Previous experience in a support or customer facing role
Previous experience of ITIL methodologies

Knowledge of system capacity management & load management
