Job Description:
This is an individual contributor position offering an excellent opportunity for candidates who would like to put their knowledge of advanced wireless protocols and communication theory into building practical systems. As part of the Systems Design team, we are looking for self-motivated candidates to research, design, optimize, and evaluate advanced L2/L3 algorithms used in wireless communications systems with emphasis on innovation.

You will get to work on challenging problems in many areas of Broadband Wireless Systems design. Currently, our focus area is LTE Release 10/11

You can expect your effort in the following areas:
i) Algorithm development leading to IP generation

ii) Architecting 4G wireless systems and platforms

iii) Understanding/translating 3GPP standards specifications into product requirements for the development team

iv) Understanding product constraints (e.g. MIPS or Memory limitation) and providing design alternatives to the development team

v) Working in a lab environment, assessing performance issues.

Desired Profile and Job Requirements:
i) Ph.D. or M.S./M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with relevant experience or focus

ii) Knowledge of one or more of the following wireless air interface standards and the respective standardization process

TDSCDMA/ WCDMA/ HSPA/HSPA+/CDMA2000

LTE/WiMAX

iii) Experience with systems architecture and implementation, hardware/software partitioning
iv) Experience designing L2/L3 algorithms e.g. handover, power control, radio resource management, design for power saving.
