Job Description: Materials Coordinators {Materials/Planning/Purchasing}
 The Platform Engineering Group's Silicon Enabling Operations team is seeking an experienced materials professional to fulfill the role of Materials Coordinator.

In this position you will be responsible for driving on time materials availability for the next generation of server development, including but not limited to the platform ingredients for both the silicon-enabling and commercial system products. This position is responsible for driving supply line for new as well as existing board and system levels components.

The materials coordinator works very closely with engineering, supply chain, commodity management, strategic MPMs and ODM partners to set up supply lines that would meet the program requirements.

The materials coordinator will communicate with both internal and external stakeholder groups to support platform needs, provide regular progress reporting with PDT team, operations teams, and ODM teams.

The materials coordinator supports readiness for their project that includes, ensuring supply line availability for NPI and production pilot. Working with product development teams and Commodity Management to identify and reduce product material risks ensuring successful new product launches (TTM). Providing cost analysis and close cost gap to meet product development team target.


The ideal candidate must possess verifiable experience with use of Purchasing Modules in SAP.
Expertise in server products, supply chain, ODM management/manufacturing, demonstrated sourcing & supplier procurement management experience, new product development. Individual should be results and detail oriented, adept at integrated project planning & driving coordinated execution activities. Must be able to work in fast paced, team environment across multiple geo’s. Should assume responsibility and be proactive taking initiative to address issues. Excellent critical analysis, problem solving and organizational skills required.

Minimum Requirements:

-2 or more years experience in Purchasing, Buying and Procurement in a technology based industry. Product development with motherboard and systems manufacturing industries preferred.
-2 or more years of experience in Materials Management.
-2 or more years advanced experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Products

Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of MRP tools, purchasing tools (SAP)
-Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and communication skills.
-Capable of working in an environment filled with ambiguity and working across geo's.
-Exceptional written/oral communication.
