About the Role and Responsibilities

The Innovation team within the McAfee Office of the CTO is team of multi-skilled engineers working on creating innovative technologies, product prototypes and processes that can influence current and future McAfee offerings across product lines. We are looking for smart, motivated engineers with a passion for technology to augment this team. The ideal candidate for this position will be an engineering graduate in CS with professional exposure to multiple technologies and has a desire to conceptualize, build and support technically challenging products. Willingness and a demonstrated ability to work on varying tools, technologies and products as well as a high level of comfort with ambiguity are key for this position.

General Responsibilities:
Hands on development of exciting new enterprise/consumer security software solutions or prototypes

Work closely with development leaders across business units to plan releases

Participate in the definition and design of new features and products

Convert new ideas to quick prototypes and iteratively create demonstrable technologies

Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Expertise in at least a few of the listed technology areas is expected.

4+ years of experience developing Windows applications with a good understanding of the OS internals

4+ years of C/C++/C# programming

Understanding and Appreciation of User Experience Design

At least 2 years of programming experience in Python will be an advantage

Experience in building scalable and distributed applications

2+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, with a good understanding of Data Modeling and Data Architecture concepts

Experience in JavaScript, HTML 5 and other web technologies.

Good knowledge of SOA, Web Services methodologies and Cloud Computing.

Apache Web Server and module configuration, modification and extension expertise

Experience in developing and publishing Android mobile applications

Knowledge of Mobile Device Management and Mobile Security

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively showcase new prototypes and technologies via technical blogs, papers and presentations are a requirement for these positions
