Job Description
5+ years hands-on experience
administering large-scale FlexLM-based license services in large semiconductor
design or similar environments
Deep knowledge of FlexLM
licensing best practices and expertise of configuration options, capabilities,
limitations, troubleshooting and performance tuning
Experience developing solutions
for complex license resource management requirements
Knowledge of Solaris and Linux
systems administration and performance monitoring
Proficiency in Perl and shell
programming & debugging in UNIX/Linux environments
Strong interpersonal and
cross-cultural collaboration skills
Good communication with superb
verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Must be meticulous and
detail-oriented
Familiarity with Electronic
Design Automation (EDA) and the semiconductor design process.
IBM Platform LSF , LSF License
Scheduler, and Flexera FlexNet Manager experience a plus.
Additional Skills:
Familiar with various X86
Hardware platforms and tuning
Familiarity with EDA tools and
CAD methodologies
Serve as a subject matter expert
for EDA license services
Assist in the maintenance,
support, and optimization of enterprise license services
Participate in the definition
and implementation of the global license infrastructure architecture
Collaborate with internal Tier
1/2 support teams and license vendors to resolve Tier 3 license issues related
to global license service availability and performance
Interface with other Engineering
Compute teams to drive follow-through of issue impacting license services
around the world.
Develop monitoring and
automation scripts around EDA license services
Collaborate with the grid
resource management team to satisfy complex and sometimes conflicting
Customer license usage policy
requirements
Participate in defining and
documenting processes and standard operating procedures
Assist in defining ,
documenting, deploying, and auditing global license infrastructure and service
standards
Install and maintain EDA license
vendor daemons
